BT Vision V+ Box

Q. Will BT Vision work after the Digital Switchover?

  • A. Yes – BT Vision is a digital TV service, so is not affected by the analogue TV shutdown. TV channels received on BT Vision are received via a TV aerial (using the Freeview system). Assuming you have your BT Vision box connected to a TV aerial, and are in a Freeview coverage area, you will be able to watch and record Freeview channels on your BT Vision set-top box.

Q. Can the silver BT Vision box receive Freeview HD?

  • A. Sorry, but no. Freeview HD uses technology called DVB-T2 , and the BT Vision boxes don’t have this built-in. Although you can’t watch Freeview HD with a BT Vision box, you can download HD films on your Vision box
