Question

Sky+ BoxCan I buy a SKY+ Box without having to subscribe to HD?

(Submitted online)

Our response

You don’t have to sign up to Sky HD if you don’t want to – it’s optional.

At the time of writing, Sky are providing those wanting the Sky+ hard disk recording service with a Sky+ HD box. This means that you can upgrade to Sky’s HD service in the future without having to get a new box.

Sky often provides a Sky+ HD box for free to new customers, but the costs for the box and setup vary depending on what packages and channels you wish to sign up to.

To check how much a Sky+ box and installation will cost, enter your preferences in the Sky Quick Buy tool at: www.sky.com/quickbuy/build
