Sky box broken – Swapping Cards

Posted on 18 April 2011 By TV and Tech No Comments on Sky box broken – Swapping Cards

Question:

I have Sky+ HD, but my box is faulty. Can I use my old sky HD box for sky+ HD?

From: Ray Jackman

Answer

If you have a valid Sky Subscription card, then it should be a case of removing the card from the faulty box, and inserting it into a different Sky box.

You should note, however, that each Sky viewing card is ‘paired’ to a Sky box, so if you swap your card over into another box, you will need to call Sky Customer Service to get your card paired with the box you want to use.
